Juvederm and Botox – Dynamic and Static Wrinkles
Dynamic wrinkles occur when you use your muscles to form facial expressions. When you smile your eye wrinkles become prominent. When you frown, the vertical lines between your eyebrows become noticeable. During youth, our skin bounces back to its original position after making these facial gestures, but as we get older these dynamic wrinkles are etched onto the skin, thus becoming static wrinkles. Botox® targets the repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting over the years, to prevent dynamic wrinkles from becoming static wrinkles.
Static wrinkles are the folds and lines that are present when we’re not forming facial expressions.
